We are delighted to introduce ABEL Black, an blackening surface treatment that stimulates the growth of the oxide layer in stainless using the synergy of electricity and chemicals. This treatment not only enhances the inherent qualities of stainless steel but also achieves optical absorption across all wavelength ranges, from ultraviolet to infrared, resulting in a reduction of reflectivity. The production of a uniform and extremely thin layer ensures the maintenance of dimensional tolerances, providing a high-precision anti-reflection effect. Additionally, by incorporating a roughening step in the substrate, it is possible to create surfaces with low reflectance tailored to specific requirements.
